Total no. of posts: 100 vacancies
Name of the posts:
Constables, I.T operators/Computer Operators: 100 vacancies
Age limit: 18 to 27 years as on 01/01/2011, (Relaxation as per Govt rules).
Education qualification: Whichever Intermediate from the State Board of Education or Any Recognized Board (OR) Matriculation from the State Board of Education/ Any recognized Board (OR) Intermediate from the State Board of Education or Recognized university and B.Sc.(IT) or BCA or Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA).
Application Fee: Demand draft of Rs 150/- in the favour of Chairman Recruitment Board, (IT & T) Punjab, payable at Chandigarh from any Bank.
Selection procedure: The mode of selection is written test/Physical Efficiency Test/Interview.
How to apply: The interested candidates can apply in prescribed format in two ways.
a) Candidates paying cash of Rs 150/- for application form in any working days from 10 am to 5 pm from offices of Commissioners of Police of Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar and all offices of the Sr.Superintendent of Police, Original cash receipt is to be attached with application form.
b) Application form can also downloaded from the website www.punjabpoliceindia.org, and send it along with all attested photo copies of necessary certificates and Demand draft to the following address, on or before, 04/04/2011, Inspector General of Police cum Chairman Recruitment Board (IT & T Wing), Office of Addl.Director General of Police (IT & T Wing), Punjab Police Head Quarters, Sector 9, Chandigarh.
Last date of receipt application: 04/04/2011.
